Working with UEFA on the EURO 2020 Trophy Tour felt like embarking on a grand adventure with a clear mission: to bring the excitement of the upcoming tournament directly into the hearts of fans across Europe. This endeavour wasn't just about moving a trophy from place to place; it was about igniting a sense of unity and anticipation among fans, bridging physical distances with shared enthusiasm.

Our journey began with a simple powerful feeling: excitement for the UEFA EURO 2020 event. Tapping into this vibrant energy, we dove into understanding the unique vibes of each host city, aiming to weave these diverse cultural threads into an experience that would resonate deeply with fans everywhere. It was about capturing the essence of community and the celebration found in the world of football.
Process
Our creative path was straightforward. We looked at what made each city special, from iconic landmarks to local stories, and thought about how we could celebrate these through our designs. The idea was to make every fan feel included, as if the tour was coming to their own neighbourhood, no matter where they were. We kept things flexible, listening and adapting, because for us, the heart of this project was in its ability to connect and bring joy.
Output
When the tour was paused due to the pandemic, it hit hard—not just as a project setback but as a reminder of the world's uncertainties. Yet, in this pause, we found a silver lining. It was a real-life lesson in adaptability and resilience, qualities that are as essential in life as they are in football. While we couldn't continue as planned, the project's spirit lived on. It reminded us that sometimes, it's not about reaching the destination, but about the journey and the ability to navigate through unexpected turns.
